Road sealing on Dunnes Rd Winslow

Works planned for next week:

Construction works

  • Dunnes rd – Seal complete awaiting line marking and final inspection
  • Terang-Darlington – Last 200m waiting final trim and seal 1-2 weeks
  • Woorndoo-Streatham – 1.1km sealed, 1.4km to be sealed next week, with final 1km to be trimmed next week and planning for sealing week after
  • Hopkins Falls Rd / O’Sullivan’s – Delayed due to numerous soft spots, anticipated sealing by mid-July weather pending

Open space

  • Jehu / Elizabeth Street - Tree removal works to commence 1st of July, as part of the open space strategy to revitalise parks and create areas for wildlife and birds. The project will see new trees planted, community group support planting understory growth, recycling of tree mulch and a much-needed lift to this small pocket of open space.
  • Mowing crews are working through the structure 3-week program, focus being edges, brush cutting around structures and spraying of weeds when conditions are right.

Maintenance

  • Crews are working through numerous requests for potholes, following a month of good rainfall, appreciate your patience as we work to complete requests.
  • Grading teams are working through numerous requests following a month of good rainfall.
  • Programmed tree works are underway with combined council and contractor crews working through requests and programmed works areas.
  • Regular scheduled maintenance of roads including jet patching of reported potholes and reflector post replacements.
  • Regular cleaning and maintenance of public facilities including toilets and BBQs.
