Community Assistance Fund

Grants of up to $15,000 aimed at supporting community organisations to deliver services and activities that benefit the community.

There are four categories with different funding ratios as follows:

Funding stream Up to $4,000 (project total cost) $4,001 and over (maximum contribution from council is $15,000)
Equipment No applicant contribution required $1: $1
Capital works No applicant contribution required $1: $1
Community strengthening No applicant contribution required $1: $1
Funded organisations program No applicant contribution required Not eligible

Round 1

Applications open: Monday 24 August 2026 at 10am

Applications close: Friday 18 September 2026 at 5pm

Round 2 (If funds are not expended in Rd 1) 

Applications open: February 2027

Applications close: March 2027

Any organisation that has not already registered on this portal will need to login with an email address (preferably generic email for each club/organisation) and enter a password.

Please ensure you contact a community assistance fund program officer prior to applying on 1300 656 564 or cafs@moyne.vic.gov.au (This is a mandatory requirement)
