Funding council services and facilities

General information about local government rates and valuations is available on the Victorian Government's website

Council rates are a property based charge, property values are the basis of their rate calculation.

Rate revenue, along with council's other income, is used to help fund a range of services and facilities provided for the enjoyment and safety of the whole community.

Please use our ezybill website to register to receive your rate notices by email.

Paying your rates

Your Moyne Shire rates bill is payable by four equal instalments per year. The schedule of remaining instalments is displayed on each notice.

Please note – Moyne Shire Council does not offer a 15 February payment date as some other councils do.

Rates notices are sent out in advance of each of the four due dates.
