If you are a proprietor of a mobile or temporary food premise trading at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, please ensure you are aware of the trading requirements:
- All food vendors must hold a current Food Act registration with a Victorian Council and must also be registered on FoodTrader - Homepage - FoodTrader
- All food vendors must submit a Statement of Trade (SOT) to Moyne Shire Council via FoodTrader no later than 2 March 2026.
- All food vendors must have their acceptance certificate for their Statement of Trade (SOT) available to present to Council’s Environmental Health Officer upon request at the event.
- If you do not have a Statement of Trade Certificate for the Port Fairy Folk Festival, you will not be able to trade and may be asked to leave.
Please be aware that we can only accept your SOT once your Food Act registration has been renewed for 2026 with your local Council.
If you are coming from interstate
- To trade in Victoria, you must be registered with a Victorian council, regardless of your registration in another state.
- If Moyne Shire is the first municipality you will be trading in Victoria for the calendar year starting 1 January 2026, you are required to apply for registration with Moyne Shire Council.
- Upon receiving your application, you are required to pay the registration fee, *please note that Moyne Shire Council does not offer short term registrations, your registration is annual and will cover any trading in Victoria until 30 December 2026
