Arts and culture

In 2024, Council adopted the Moyne Shire Arts and Culture Strategy 2024-2030, which sets out a clear vision for how we will use our resources to support the creative life of the shire.

To help us bring this strategy to life, we are seeking expressions of interest for individuals to join the Arts and Culture Advisory Group (ACAG). The ACAG will play a role in providing strategic advice and recommendations to guide the effective implementation and evaluation of the strategy.

About the Arts and Culture Advisory Group

As a member of the AGAG, you will:

• Provide advice on the implementation of the Arts and Culture Strategy.
• Advocate for innovative arts and cultural initiatives.
• Support partnerships between Council, Traditional Owners, arts organisations, and the wider community.
• Help elevate the profile of arts and culture in Moyne Shire.

Who we're looking for

We’re seeking a diverse group of up to eight members with skills, experience, or a strong interest in arts and culture, including:

• Artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners
• Community members passionate about arts and culture
• Young people (aged 18 to 25) involved in creative industries
• First Nations representatives
• Professionals with creative industry experience, cultural infrastructure, or funding

We encourage applications from individuals with connections to Moyne Shire and those who can represent diverse voices within the community.

Commitment

Members will serve a two-year term, attending twice-yearly meetings and additional sessions as needed (no more than four times per year). Meetings may be in-person or virtual.
