Supported playgroups

Council runs supported playgroups, that are led by a specially trained and qualified playgroup leader.

Supported playgroups give families the opportunity to:

  • learn new ideas for their children’s learning and development
  • build parenting skills and confidence using the Smalltalk program
  • meet other parents and carers
  • learn about and connect with local services
  • have fun with other children and families

Mortlake

Mondays 10.30am - 12.30pm (during school terms)

Mortlake Community Health Centre

Tuesdays 10.30am - 12.30pm (during school terms)

Hawkesdale Memorial Hall

Dawson Street, Hawkesdale

The facilitated playgroups are free for parents with children aged 0-5 years.

Free in-home support is also available.
