Dates of recognition

Moyne Shire Council acknowledges a range of corporate events and recognised days throughout the year that reflect the values of our organisation and the interests of our communities.  

This calendar has been developed to provide a consistent approach to recognising significant dates across the organisation.   

Council Corporate Events 

Council Corporate Events are significant occasions that are actively supported or delivered by Moyne Shire Council. They often involve the Mayor and Councillors, official ceremonies, community events or civic functions, and may be delivered in partnership with community organisations or other stakeholders. 

These events celebrate the achievements, diversity and history of our community while fostering community connection and civic participation. 

Council Recognised Days 

Council Recognised Days acknowledge nationally or internationally recognised awareness days that align with Council's strategic priorities, services or areas of responsibility. 

Recognition may include internal and external communications, social media, flag raising or building illumination, where appropriate. These acknowledgements demonstrate Council's commitment to supporting an inclusive, informed and connected community.
