Love local - win it back

Shop local in the Moyne Shire and you could win back your purchase – up to $500! Simply spend $50 or more at participating stores in Port Fairy, Koroit, or Mortlake, write your details on your receipt, and drop it in the entry drum in-store or along the street.

Winners will be drawn at random until the $500 prize pool at each town is fully claimed. It’s our way of celebrating local shopping – support your favourite stores and you might just get your money back.

Love Local Win It Back – terms and conditions

Eligibility

  • Employees, owners, and immediate family members of Moyne Shire Council and participating businesses are not eligible.
  • The competition is focused on retail and hospitality businesses in the central shopping districts of Port Fairy, Koroit, and Mortlake. 
  • Entrants are required to spend a minimum amount of $50 on participating in stores to qualify.

How to enter

  • To enter, participants must spend $50 or more in a participating store during the promotional period in each location:

    Port Fairy, 1 to 4 November 2025

    Koroit, 11 to 23 November 2025

    Mortlake, 1 to 12 December 2025

  • After making a qualifying purchase, write your name and contact details clearly on the back of your receipt and place it in one of the official entry drums located in participating stores or designated collection points in the shopping precinct.
  • At the end of each promotional period, all valid entries from that town will be combined into a major draw barrel.
  • Winners will be selected at random. Each winner will receive a refund of their qualifying purchase amount, up to a maximum of $500.
  • Multiple winners will be drawn until the total $500 prize pool per town is fully allocated.
  • Winners will be announced on the @LoveLocalMoyne Facebook and Instagram pages.

  • Koroit

Starts, 9am 11 November 2025

Ends, 5pm 23 November 2025

  • Mortlake

Starts, 9am 1 December 2025

Ends, 5pm 12 December 2025

  • Late entries will not be accepted.

Prizes

  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Each prize will be awarded as a voucher to a Moyne Shire store of the winner’s choosing.
  • The winner will be drawn at random from valid entries.
  • Winners will be notified via the contact details they provide on their entry receipt within three days of the draw.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days, a new winner will be drawn.

General conditions

  • Moyne Shire Council reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition if necessary.
  • Entry constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • The promoter is not responsible for any technical issues, lost entries, or errors.

  • Personal information collected for this competition will only be used for administration and communication related to the competition, in line with privacy laws.
