Academic support scholarships

We are inviting students currently enrolled to commence their first year of full-time study at a tertiary institution in 2026 to apply for scholarship funds. The funds are awarded on an annual basis to assist students with tertiary study costs for the year in which the award is made. The selection panel retains the right to award any number of scholarships from the $15,000 allocated funds.

The following criteria must be met for the applicant to be eligible:

  1. Applicants must / will be between the ages of 18-25 in this current academic year
  2. Applicants must have been a resident of Moyne Shire when undertaking their secondary education and cannot have ceased to be a resident of the Moyne Shire more than 18 months prior to this application
  3. Applicants must currently be enrolled to commence their first year of a full-time tertiary course of study for the 2026 academic year
  4. Applicants must submit a statement detailing their involvement in their secondary education and community engagement over their VCE / VCE- VM / VPC. This statement can be in written format (no more than 500 words) or in audio or video format (no more than two minutes)
  5. This statement should include:
    • the course of study the applicant is enrolled in,
    • their reasons for undertaking this course of study,
    • how scholarship funds could assist them in their first year of study.
  6. Applicants must submit two references (either in written or audio / video format).

Before being awarded, successful applicants must provide copies of their VCE subject results with associated scores (ATAR / VCE-VM / VPC) or subject results.
