Swimming pools and spas

If you own a pool or spa or have recently had one built, you must:

  • Register each pool or spa on your property with Moyne Shire Council. You only need to register your pool or spa once. 
  • After registering, have it inspected and lodge a Certificate of Barrier Compliance (Form 23) every four years.
  • All pools and spas capable of holding more than 30cm of water must have a compliant safety barrier. This applies to permanent, in-ground, above-ground, relocatable and inflatable pools and spas.
  • Statutory fees apply for registration and Form 23 lodgement

You must have your pool or spa inspected and lodge a Certificate of Barrier Compliance (form 23) every four years.

Register a swimming pool or spa

If you have a pool or spa on your property, you must register it with Moyne Shire Council
