A municipal public health and wellbeing plan is a strategic plan that establishes the overall aims and priorities for the local council in protecting, improving and promoting the public health and wellbeing of the people in the municipality.
In line with section 27 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic) (the Act), Moyne Shire received exemption from the Department of Health that allows it to be incorporated into the Council Plan 2025 - 2029
Under section 26(2) of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic), council must include or have reference to an examination of data about health status and health determinants in the municipal district in it’s municipal health and wellbeing plan.
