Jim Doukas

Councillor

Headshot of Jim Doukas

Cr Jim Doukas was first elected to Council in March 2002 and was Mayor between December 2010 and November 2013 and again in 2017.

A former dairy farmer based at Mailors Flat, Jim lists his main challenges as a Councillor as raising the profile of the Shire townships from a tourism and commercial perspective, continuing to improve the Shire’s roads policy and offering greater representation to all ratepayers.

Jim’s passion for Moyne Shire is deeply rooted in community, family values, and a strong connection to the region's rural way of life.

Looking ahead, his priority is ensuring Moyne remains financially sustainable while continuing to deliver the best possible outcomes for residents.

Jim's’ vision is for a Council that carefully manages its resources, invests in projects that provide genuine value to the community, and maintains essential services wherever possible.
