Port Fairy going for tourism gold!
Published on 23 June 2025
Voting is open in Port Fairy’s race for gold in the Victorian Top Tourism Town awards where it has been named as a Top Small-Town finalist.
Moyne Shire Mayor Karen Foster said the nomination was recognition for how important each and every one of our shire’s towns can be to the whole tourist experience, because once you’ve visited one area of Moyne you want to see more.
“I encourage the community to help spread the word and tell everyone you know who has ever experienced everything Port Fairy has to offer to jump online and cast a vote,” Cr. Foster said.
“Share it on your socials, help relatives and neighbours who aren’t tech savvy with the online voting,” she said.
These annual awards aim to recognise and reward towns that demonstrate a strong commitment to tourism and can result in increasing visitation to the region.
Cr. Foster urged people to vote for Port Fairy as the number one Victorian Small Town for 2025, as a win for Port Fairy would be a wonderful outcome for our whole region.
