Moyne Shire Council has welcomed the appointment of two new directors to its Executive Leadership Team.
Liam Arnott was recently announced as the new Director Assets and Community, responsible for the strategic oversight of Council’s infrastructure, asset management, project delivery and community services portfolios, ensuring they are well planned, well managed and aligned with community needs.
Liam has a background in civil construction and project management, and significant experience leading large teams across infrastructure, asset management and community-focused services.
“One of my top priorities will be enhancing Moyne’s extensive road network, ensuring it is safer, more resilient and fit for the needs of our residents, businesses and visitors,” said Mr Arnott.
Symonne Robinson is the new Director Corporate and Governance Services, which covers finance, property, human resources, customer service, governance, corporate planning, and information and communications technology.
With a strong background in local government management, Symonne is an experienced leader in strategic and workforce planning, organisational development and performance management.
“I’m looking forward to ensuring our services really meet the needs of our community,” said Ms Robinson.
Mayor, Cr Jordan Lockett said Symonne and Liam each brought a great mix of experience, leadership skills and the ability to bring the best out of our teams.
““We have dedicated directors and staff with community at the heart of everything they do,” said Cr Lockett.
“We’re really pleased that both Symonne and Liam were already at Moyne, and were the standout candidates for their roles,” he said.
“Together with our CEO, Mark Eversteyn and Director Economy and Place, Jodie McNamara, Moyne Shire has a great team providing leadership to staff and wise advice to our Councillors. We wish them all the best in their roles.”
