The Port Fairy Street Fair is calling out for buskers to enter the 2024 Port Fairy Busking Competition.

To be held across the March long weekend during the Port Fairy Folk Festival, the competition is a unique opportunity to perform on the street amongst thousands of music fans.

Presented in collaboration with the Folk Festival Committee, the Street Fair has become a much-loved element of the Labour Day long weekend, with music, kids entertainment, food, stalls and more creating a lively atmosphere.

Mayor, Cr Ian Smith said the crowds love the variety of musical styles and performances that buskers bring.

“Whether you’re a solo artist, a dynamic duo or a full band, this is your chance to shine,” said Cr Smith.

“Each participating busker can be rated by the crowd they draw,” he said.

“Up for grabs are a pair of tickets to the 2025 Folk Festival, some serious bragging rights, and a great addition to their musical CV.”

Buskers can apply at www.moyne.vic.gov.au/StreetBusking with applications closing on February 16.
