Moyne Shire Council is developing a strategy to provide clear direction for the future of aquatic facilities across the shire.

The Moyne Aquatics Facilities Strategy will include a comprehensive review of existing service and provision, as well as taking into account feedback received from the community.

A series of community ‘drop in’ sessions will be held on 6-7 February 2026, and an online survey opens today to help capture the community’s thoughts.

Mayor, Cr Jordan Lockett said Council wants to hear from everyone.

“Pools are highly valued by our communities.  That said, our facilities are ageing and will need significant investment in the years ahead,” said Cr Lockett.

“We want to hear how the pools are used, what works well, what could be improved, and what opportunities exist to strengthen their role in community health, recreation, and social connection,” he said.

“What we hear from the community will be combined with research, data and evidence-based insights that will help work out directions for aquatics in Moyne Shire.”

“Please visit our Engage Moyne website to complete the survey. Printed copies of the survey form are also available widely, from Council customer services offices, our libraries and visitor information centre, and from the pools in Hawkesdale, Macarthur and Mortlake.”

The survey closes on 2 March 2026.
