• Make places easier to get to
• Help people take part in community life
• Make sure everyone is treated fairly

Why is this plan important?

People with disability have the right to be included. This plan helps Moyne Shire follow the law and do the right thing.

What are the big ideas in the plan?

The plan has 4 big ideas:

1. Inclusive communities
   • Make events and activities open to everyone
   • Help people with disability feel safe and welcome
2. Accessible places
   • Make buildings, parks and footpaths easier to use
   • Make signs and information easy to understand
3. Fair services
   • Make sure services work well for people with disability
   • Train staff to understand disability better
4. Listening and learning
   • Ask people with disability what they think
   • Keep checking if the plan is working

Moyne Shire Council talked to:

What happens next?

The council will:

• Use the plan from 2024 to 2028
• Check progress every year
