Please read before starting application

Please be aware that

  • The maximum amount of funding available to any one group is $1,500 (GST exclusive).
  • Reimbursement for plants, materials and site preparation will be $3 per tree / square meter of seeding.
  • Evidence will be required (e.g. itemised invoice from supplier) in the acquittal that verifies at least 50% of the amount requested was spent on plants/seeding, tree guards, stakes and weed control.
  • Projects must occur on public land (either council owned/managed or community owned/managed). Projects on roadside reserves are ineligible for funding.
  • Incomplete applications are ineligible for funding. Applicants are encouraged to check they have completed all sections and attached all necessary documentation before submitting their application to council.

Project applications will be assessed on

  • The level of community involvement
  • The level of prior planning, site preparation and likelihood of receiving ongoing maintenance
  • The project purpose and likelihood of improving the existing natural environment (rather than improving amenity)

  • Contain at least 50% of the total number of plants as overstorey species (i.e. trees and large shrubs) and
  • Are submitted by groups who have successfully delivered C3OP projects (and completed final reports) in previous years.

Plants must be in the ground and a funding acquittal form completed and submitted to council by 15 June 2027.
