Training and Networking

To support community events Council is hosting a series of opportunities for community events to:

• Improve planning and delivery of their existing, potential or first-time events by providing learning opportunities to improve event hosting/management capacity, knowledge and skills;

• Network and learn from each other, maximise use of local assets, skills and resources, build capacity and share the challenges and opportunities;

• Feel more supported and valued; and

• Encourage organisers to develop events that align with the region’s strategic goals, promoting the regions brand and identity, liveability, supporting tourism campaigns and meeting other community needs.
