Have you ever dreamt about performing on stage at the Port Fairy Folk Festival? Here’s your chance to shine!

Following on from the success of last year's pilot program, Future Folk is back to support young emerging artists and performers hailing from South West Victoria.

Port Fairy Folk Festival have partnered with Moyne Shire Council to offer a unique performance and mentoring opportunity for ten local musicians.

As part of the 2023 Port Fairy Folk Festival, Future Folk participants will work with established artists in one-on-one and group mentoring sessions before, during and after the Festival.

Whether you’re a singer, songwriter, a musician or a band, this is your chance to gain valuable skills from professional artists and experience performing in front of a live audience.

Future Folk participants will receive:

• A full 20 minute set performance on Fiddlers Green as part of an emerging artist showcase
• Songwriters Circle: a two-song performance on the main stage inside the festival arena
• Artists will also receive payment for their performance

In addition, four artists will be selected to perform a 30 minute set on a main stage within the festival arena.
