Port Fairy Coastal and Structure Plan
The Council adopted the Port Fairy Coastal and Structure Plan in August 2018. Moyne Shire Council prepared the Amendment C69moyn (the Amendment) to the Moyne Planning Scheme to implement the land use and development framework of the Structure Plan. The Amendment proposes to correct zone mapping anomalies on individual sites within the Port Fairy township. It also proposes to inform and guide the future growth and development of Port Fairy.
The Council has prepared the plan with the assistance of government agencies, service authorities and major stakeholders.
The Amendment applies to all of the Port Fairy Township.
A total of 85 submissions have been received to the Amendment C69moyn. Copies of these submissions can be found under the View Supporting documentation section. Numbered submissions are not sequential.
All submissions will be considered by the Moyne Shire Council, councillors and independent panel as required.
The Council has prepared the Amendment C69moyn to the Moyne Planning Scheme, being the Port Fairy Coastal and Structure Plan and was released for public comment / exhibition until 28 July 2020.

Prior to COVID-19 restrictions, Amendment documents were required to be physically available to view at Council’s offices. On 23 April the State Government passed the Omnibus COVID-19 (Emergency Measures) Bill 2020 that included a change to the Planning and Environment Act 1987, allowing planning documents to be only required to be available for online inspection.
Moyne Shire Council intends to provide as many opportunities for our community to engage with this Amendment exhibition process, and as such will provide the following options:

How to Provide Feedback on the Amendment?
Any person who may be affected by the Amendment may make a submission to Council about the Amendment. Submissions must be made in writing giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the Amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.
Name and contact details of submitters are required for Council to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend Council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions. The closing date for submissions was 28 July 2020.
