Port Fairy SES - Advocacy 2018

The location of the Port Fairy SES in the town’s CBD provides a problem when the team need to get out to an emergency. The facilities themselves are nothing short of appalling.

Plans have been developed for both the Port Fairy CFA and the Port Fairy SES to co-locate on to the Princes Highway. Co-locating will provide for shared car parking, toilets and meeting spaces resulting in a better facility for all, at a significantly reduced cost than would be spent on two separate locations.

Port Fairy SES wanted to gain funding to assist in their relocation as part of the 2018 State Budget. Unfortunately, it appears that the $3 million was not allocated. We want the new Government to provide funding so that the Port Fairy SES unit can co-locate with the Port Fairy CFA to a site on the Princes Highway.
