First ‘Love Local’ Competition Winners Announced!

Council is excited to announce the lucky winners of the debut ‘Love Local’ competition draw, who will each receive a $100 voucher to spend at Moyne businesses: Emma Sharpe, Brett Fah, Marielle Porter, Sandra Frankcomb, and Sam Webster.

 Sponsored by Port Fairy Community Bank, the competition offers anyone who spends $20 or more at a Moyne-based business the chance to win one of the weekly prizes.


Moyne Sire CEO, Bill Millard said the competition was part of Council’s ‘Looking out for our Businesses’ campaign aimed at supporting local businesses as they recover from the impacts of the pandemic.

 “Council are committed to helping our local businesses and the engagement with business owners and the community has been really encouraging,” Mr Millard said.

 “Since last month’s launch, window decals and flyers have been appearing in businesses across the Shire, and businesses have been met with eager shoppers keen to support them get back on their feet.

 “We look forward to watching the continued momentum of the campaign and the flow-on boost to business.

 “The Port Fairy Community Bank and Council have sponsored this part of the Love Local campaign.  Together we encourage all shoppers to think local and continue to support our many great Moyne businesses.”

 Five lucky shoppers will also win $100 vouchers in each of the remaining draws on 13 November and 20 November. Four $250 vouchers are on offer for the grand finale draw of this competition on 27 November.

 Shoppers who spend $20 or more at a Moyne Shire business can enter by submitting a copy of their receipt at, accompanied by their contact details.

 Receipts, with contact details written on the back, can also be dropped off at the Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre, Koroit Newsagency, the Port Fairy Community Bank and council’s Mortlake and Port Fairy customer service centres.

 The next part of the campaign in December will focus on the festive season, with a chance to win a range of local produce hampers and vouchers.
