Savour the flavours of the Moyne region and celebrate vineyards, breweries, shop fronts and farm gates on the Moyne Shire Taste Trail.

The Taste Trail is a self-drive tour through the rolling greenery of the Moyne Shire, from Macarthur, Port Fairy, Koroit, Killarney, Mortlake, Mepunga and Allansford while sampling food and beverages from the region’s makers, growers and producers.

The Taste Trail is the perfect way for food lovers to explore the flavours of the region, with eleven locations to visit that include family-friendly activities and special discounts on offer for ticket holders.

Take a road trip tour and explore a micro-winery, brewery and distillery in Macarthur, artisan kitchens in Port Fairy, pick your own produce near Tower Hill, craft beers in Koroit and sample cheeses in Mortlake and Allansford.

Mayor Cr Karen Foster said the event was an exciting way to explore the Moyne Shire Taste Trail, showcasing the passion and skill of the region’s local producers.

“The Moyne Shire Taste Trail is a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates some of the top food and beverage businesses across our region,” Cr Foster said.

“This is the first time all of the Taste Trail makers, growers and producers have opened their doors to the public on the same day - giving people a chance to meet the faces behind the businesses and to see where their food comes from.”

Cr Foster said there would also be a chance to win across the event, with one $250 Port Fairy accommodation voucher up for grabs for each day of the event.

“All you have to do is visit all eleven producers in one day and return your completed taste card to the Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre by the following Monday before 5:00pm, and you could be the lucky winner.”

“Discounts and specials are also available when you bring along your Taste Trail tote that you’ll receive when you purchase your event ticket.”

Moyne Shire Taste Trail maps and tote bags can be collected from the Port Fairy and Region Visitor Information Centre (V.I.C.) located on Bank Street, Port Fairy.

The Trail will run every Friday from 13 January to 27 January 2023.

Tickets can be purchased at https://book.bookeasy.com/port-fairy-visitor-information-centre-events/events/138476 or at the Port Fairy V.I.C.
