First winners of Love Local ‘Escape’ Packages campaign announced
Published on 16 February 2021
Council is excited to announce the first 22 lucky winners of the ‘Escape’ Packages Love Local shopping competition, who will each receive a local experience package to enjoy throughout the shire.
The competition offers anyone who spends $20 or more at a Moyne-based business the chance to win one of the unique experience packages.
Moyne Shire Council Mayor, Cr Daniel Meade, says this third shopping competition under the Love Local campaign encourages people to check out the great local hospitality venue and activities on offer.
“Council are committed to helping our local businesses and the engagement with business owners and the community has been really encouraging,” Cr Meade said.
“This iteration of the campaign encourages locals to venture outside of their home town and enjoy some fun and alternate offerings available throughout the Shire.
“We look forward to winners receiving their pack which includes vouchers to one of Moyne’s great country pubs, along with a unique Moyne activity.
“For example, you could win vouchers to the Kirkstall Hotel along with guided tours of Tower Hill, or to Noodledoof in Koroit, paired with a Salty Dog fishing charter out of Port Fairy.
“We’ve also teamed up with Suffoir Winery and Geo Tour Budj Bim for another package, as well as Hawkesdale Hotel and Go Surf lessons.
“It’s been great to watch the continued momentum of the campaign and the flow-on boost to business.
“This current competition runs for another month, with 22 winners to be drawn on 12 March.
“With over $10,000 worth of prizes, I encourage everyone to continue supporting our businesses by spending locally and get in the draw to win!”
Receipts, with contact details written on the back, can also be dropped off at the Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre, Koroit Newsagency, the Port Fairy Community Bank and council’s Mortlake and Port Fairy customer service centres.
