Community ideas sought for Peterborough Streetscape plan

Published on 13 January 2022

Community members and visitors to Peterborough are invited to share their thoughts and ideas on what a new streetscape plan for the town should capture.

Moyne Shire Council and the Peterborough Residents Group are working in partnership to complete design plans and costings for streetscape improvements for the main centre.

Moyne Shire Mayor Cr Ian Smith said the project will focus on the main retail and business area along Macs Road between Blair and Irvine Streets, and Irvine Street from the Great Ocean Road to the James Irvine Monument car park.

“Council wants to hear from members of the community what they want to see included in a streetscape plan for Peterborough,” he said.

“We have launched an online survey which people can fill out and are planning some town walks and workshops for February 18 and 19.

“This is an opportunity for residents and visitors to tell us what they would like to see in a new streetscape for Peterborough and what important features of the town need to be featured in those plans.”

The online survey closed on January 31. Visit for more information and to complete the survey.

Hard copies of the survey and reply paid envelopes are also available from the Grocery Store and take-away in town.

Further details about planned street walks and workshops in February will be released closer to the dates.
