Calling all young creatives

Moyne Shire Council will mark this year’s Victorian Youth Fest with an entire month of youth showcases, exhibitions and events.

Council is searching for young creatives who live, work or play in Moyne to share their creative talents in the upcoming showcases which include;

2022 Moyne and Warrnambool Youth Awards recognises young people who deserve celebrating and gives them an opportunity to perform and display their art.  The awards will be held on Sunday, September 11 at Deakin University, Warrnambool

Youth Makers’ Market gives young people a platform to grow their small business ideas. Sunday, September 25 in Port Fairy.

Moyne Virtual Gallery is an online exhibition space which aims to shine a spotlight on talented young people from the region.

Mayor of Moyne Shire, Cr Ian Smith encouraged all young people who have creative interests to put themselves out there and apply for the showcases.

“The showcases are open to creativity in any style – music, visual art, spoken word, film, entrepreneurship, fashion design and everything in between,” Cr Smith said

“It’s a terrific opportunity for young people to promote themselves, sell their wares and share their talents while connecting with other young people.

“We are committed to creating opportunities for young people to become more involved in their communities, and hosting these events across Victorian Youth Fest is one way we are doing that.”
