Council is inviting comment on a proposed master plan to improve traffic management and on-street parking in Villiers Street, Port Fairy, between Bank Street and Regent Street.
A proposal has been prepared in response to a request from Moyne Health Services to review traffic management and parking in the street, with a view to implementing one-way traffic flow and increasing on-street parking spaces.
The plan is to make a section of Villiers Street a one-way street in the direction from south to north (ie from Bank Street to Regent Street only) and change the parking layout to 60-degree angle parking both sides of the street.
The layout has been designed to accommodate designated emergency vehicle access and egress from the Moyne Health Acute Care Building (currently under construction) with vehicle access being from Regent Street.
