Amendment C63 - 6 Bank Street, Port Fairy

Amendment C63 to the Moyne Planning Scheme has been approved by the Minister for Planning and came into operation on 19 October, 2017.

The land affected by the Amendment is 6 Bank Street, Port Fairy, the site of the former Port Fairy preschool and maternal and child health centre, which has been deemed to be land surplus to Council’s requirements.

Amendment C63 has:

  • Rezoned the site of the former preschool and maternal and child health centre from Public Use Zone 6 – Local Government to Commercial 1 Zone, to enable it to be sold by Council.
  • Rezoned the land containing the war memorial from Public Use Zone 6 – Local Government to Public Park and Recreation Zone. This land is to be retained by Council as part of the Port Fairy Railway Place Precinct.

Where can I view the Amendment?

A copy of the Amendment can be inspected, free of charge, at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website at Moyne C063 and free of charge, during office hours, at the offices of the Moyne Shire Council, Princes Street, Port Fairy.

 

  • In addition, the Amendment can be viewed, free of charge, during office hours at the following location:

  • Moyne Shire Council offices, Princes Street, Port Fairy.

Who can make a submission?

Any person who may be affected by the Amendment may make a submission to the planning authority about the amendment. Submissions must be made in writing giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.

Name and contact details of submitters are required for council to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions. In accordance with provisions of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, Council must make available for inspection a copy of any submissions made in response to the Amendment.
