Moyne has a delicious food scene! Backed by quality produce from local farmers and a friendly hospitality workforce, we invite you to enjoy the diverse cafes, restaurants and bars dotted around the shire. Our markets are also a great place to source or sell fresh, homemade goodies.

This page is for people who are starting or operating:

  • a new business making or serving food/drinks
  • a mobile or temporary food/drink business
  • any other organisation, group or event making or serving food/drinks for public consumption.

Environmental Health Officers

As a first step, we recommend you contact our Environmental Health officers on 4505 2137 or 4505 2125. They can discuss your specific business, then help you meet the rules and regulations to ensure your operation is safe for consumers.

Mobile food traders

All food vans, trucks or market stall holders in Victoria need to be registered with Streat Trader. This is an excellent website for anyone wanting to know more about mobile food businesses.

If you would like to operate in Moyne's public spaces or caravan parks, you'll need to submit our Itinerant Traders form. This helps manage the impact and success of mobile traders in our townships. For more info about seasonal or itinerant trading in Moyne contact our Local Laws team:
