Good rains and hot weather have been a boon for farmers, but have created headaches for Moyne Shire’s mowers.

The council usually mows the grass in towns across the shire once every three weeks, but the ideal grass-growing conditions have meant one mow every three weeks has not been enough in recent times.

The length of grass in the towns is causing some concern for residents, and Moyne Shire appreciates that feedback.

The council is going to review the mowing cycle and the frequency of service as part of the upcoming budgetary process.

In the meantime, Moyne Shire is trying to keep on top of areas with rapid grass growth as best as possible.
