New Director Appointed

Moyne Shire Council will soon welcome Mr Brett Davis following his recent appointment as Director Economic Development and Planning.
In an announcement made to Council staff this week, CEO Bill Millard said Mr Davis has extensive experience in project management, urban and regional planning, property, economic development and facilitation.
“Brett is currently the Executive Director Regional Victoria with the Victorian Planning Authority,” Mr Millard said.
“He is a passionate advocate for rural and regional development and has held a number of senior planning and leadership roles, and has extensive experience in local government.
“With our continued focus on the economic development and growth of our Shire, it is exciting to welcome a new director with Brett’s level of experience, knowledge and passion.”
Mr Davis said he is looking forward to commencing in the new role in January 2020.
“I am excited about working and connecting with the communities in the Shire, to deliver outcomes for the Council, community and local businesses,” Mr Davis said.
“My partner and I have strong connections to the region and the Shire and are very much looking forward to starting the New Year in the role and re-establishing a family base in Port Fairy”
Mr Davis’ appointment comes after the retirement of former Director Economic Development and Planning, Mr Oliver Moles in August 2019.
