As the COVID-19 situation rapidly evolves, Moyne Shire Council’s priorities remain the safety of staff, customers and the community, and to keep the community informed about impacts on Council’s operations and services.

Moyne Shire CEO, Bill Millard, said Council had activated its Business Continuity Plan to ensure a coordinated, strategic response.

“Our Business Continuity Group has been mobilised to make decisions on Council’s critical services and ongoing operations,” Mr Millard said.

“While the virus has impacted some Council services, we are adapting our practises to keep as many services operational as possible.

“Council’s website has up-to-date information on the current status of our services and regular updates are being provided on social media.

“We urge residents needing to contact Council to do so via phone or email if possible, rather than visiting our Customer Service Centres. When making payments, debit and credit cards are preferred instead of cash.”
