Have your say on Villiers Street
Published on 29 January 2018
Moyne Shire is seeking comment on a proposal to improve traffic management and on-street parking in Villiers Street, Port Fairy.
The section of street in question is in front of Moyne Health Services between Bank Street and Regent Street.
A proposed masterplan for the street has been prepared in response to a request from Moyne Health Services to review traffic management and parking in the street, with a view to implementing one-way traffic flow and increasing on-street parking spaces.
The plan is to make a section of Villiers Street a one-way street in the direction from south to north (ie from Bank Street to Regent Street) and change the parking layout to 60-degree angle parking on both sides of the street.
The layout has been designed to accommodate designated emergency vehicle access and egress from the Moyne Health Acute Care Building (currently under construction) with vehicle access from Regent Street.
The plan and an information sheet can be viewed in the public notices section on the Moyne Shire website, or at the Moyne Shire office in Port Fairy.
Submissions may be mailed to email@example.com, dropped into the Moyne Shire office in Port Fairy or posted to PO Box 51 Port Fairy.
To be considered by the council, submissions must contain the author's name and address.
Submissions close on Tuesday 27 February 2018.
