Funding Boost To Fuel Regional Startups
Published on 05 July 2018
Moyne Shire has received funding to support startup and entrepreneurial activity in our region.
LaunchVic funding will help business owners to speed up the process of developing and scaling a business idea, sometimes referred to as a “business accelerator”, as well as meetups, intensive workshops, weekly masterclasses and one-on-one mentoring with industry experts.
Moyne Shire joins the Warrnambool and Corangamite councils receiving $284,000 in state government funding to help foster a new generation of entrepreneurs in the south-west.
The shire's economic development team deliver the program which could include bootcamps, mentoring, meetups, hackathons, masterclasses and workshops.
This investment complements LaunchVic’s Startup Guide and Toolkit released late last year to help councils secure funding to implement programs and activities that nurture startup activity and encourage greater participation within their communities.
