Feedback Wanted on Proposed Operating Hours

In direct response to feedback from the community, Moyne Shire is proposing changes to waste facility opening times at Hawkesdale, Macarthur and Mortlake.
Following a decision at June’s Council meeting to review the opening hours, a 28-day feedback period will commence this weekend to collect the views of waste facility users.
Moyne Shire Mayor, Councillor Mick Wolfe said Council were responding to feedback received from members of the Hawkesdale, Macarthur and Mortlake communities.
“We have heard a number of reasons as to why residents want the opening hours changed, including being more accessible for full-time workers and business owners,” Councillor Wolfe said.
“At Mortlake, we’re proposing moving the current opening times ahead by one hour, and at Hawkesdale, moving the weekly opening time from Saturday mornings to Sunday afternoons.
“At Macarthur the proposed change would see the facility no longer open for two hours on Mondays and Saturdays and instead it would be open for three hours each Sunday.
“We’re keen to get feedback from the community before we make any changes.”
Feedback can be provided online at moyne.vic.gov.au/waste or by picking up a survey form at the relevant waste facility.
