Moyne Shire was proud to be a part of Hawkesdale P-12 College's end-of-year presentation evening on Tuesday 19 December.
The shire's manager of recreation and community development Jacquie Anderton was on hand to present a student with the Moyne Shire Award, which recognises the important qualities of citizenship, leadership, and the positive contribution that students make to their school community.
In 2017, the recipient of the Moyne Shire Award was Delaney Boyd, a Year 7 student at Hawkesdale P12 College.
Vice-principal John Ralph said Delaney was "an excellent role model for our school values of participation, respect and resilience, and is consistently supportive of her classmates and teachers".
"Delaney has added enormously to the life of our school through sporting representation and her leadership within the ACMI GamesNET collaborative gaming project," Mr Ralph said.
