$280,000 upgrade for the Koroit Bowls Club

Published on 11 October 2018

Koroit’s Bowls Club is celebrating with the announcement of $280,000 in grants to upgrade to its facilities.

The club has seen such a growth in membership that its current facilities are struggling to service the club’s needs. There are also access issues for those with a disability, and for emergency services personnel.

The project will include new changing rooms, accessible toilets and an access path and ramp. The upgrade will mean that the club will soon be able to host major regional competitions and pennant grand finals that the club is prevented from holding because the current facility is inaccessible to some players.

Moyne Shire is pleased to thank the State Government with the generous funding of $180,000. Moyne Shire Council has helped the Koroit Bowls Club throughout its planning and submission processes and will contribute $50,000 to the project.
